which one is hard for you?

Gospel

Mk 3:1-6

Jesus entered the synagogue. There was a man there who had a withered hand. They watched Jesus closely
to see if he would cure him on the sabbath so that they might accuse him. He said to the man with the withered hand, “Come up here before us.” Then he said to the Pharisees, “Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath rather than to do evil, to save life rather than to destroy it?” But they remained silent.

Looking around at them with anger and grieved at their hardness of heart, Jesus said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out and his hand was restored. The Pharisees went out and immediately took counsel with the Herodians against him to put him to death.

The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath

Gospel

Mk 2:23-28

As Jesus was passing through a field of grain on the sabbath, his disciples began to make a path while picking the heads of grain. At this the Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the sabbath?” He said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he was in need and he and his companions were hungry? How he went into the house of God when Abiathar was high priest and ate the bread of offering that only the priests could lawfully eat, and shared it with his companions?”
Then he said to them, “The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. That is why the Son of Man is lord even of the sabbath.

I was very busy today and wait until the last minutes to read today's gospel. After read today's gospel, I deeply feel we need to pay more attention on what God wants us to do. Otherwise we will go to the wrong direction. Just like Pharisees, they tried to challenge Jesus why his disciples did that during sabbath. If we don't have intelligent from God, we will never know how to answer those questions.

New wine is poured into fresh wineskins

GospelMk 2:18-22

The disciples of John and of the Pharisees were accustomed to fast.People came to Jesus and objected,“Why do the disciples of John and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?”Jesus answered them,“Can the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them?As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast. But the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast on that day.No one sews a piece of unshrunken cloth on an old cloak. If he does, its fullness pulls away, the new from the old, and the tear gets worse.Likewise, no one pours new wine into old wineskins.Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the skins are ruined.Rather, new wine is poured into fresh wineskins.”

Let holy spirit come into our heart before we read today's bible.

Be honestly with you, I haven't do my daily bible reading almost for 2 years. I feel very Lucky that I have a moment to have my daily prayer back.

We don't like to change our life. We always used to what we have in our daily life. Last week, I got laid off. When I got a phone call from HR, I knew something will happen.

When they told me, unfortunately we have to let you go. The company is not doing well. However, there is nothing wrong with you personally. I didn't feel sad or angry. Actually I was a little bit happy. They finally made the call and I was ready. You must curious why I have that feeling right? there are lots of reason why I feel happy. One of the biggest reason is I think God has something for me to do. and I truly believe it.

I wasn't happy at my previous company. Back to today's Gospel, I think the point is we should be ready for the changes.

When ppl asked Jesus, why your ppl are not fasting? Jesus told them - who is doing fasting when they are with bride and groom? Also Jesus explain how we should pour the new wine into new wineskin otherwise the new wine will ruin the old wineskin. I think I have a whole bottle of new wine and I will have my new wineskin waiting for me. Even though I don't know where I am going. I know God already has his plan for me thousand years ago.
